If you're pregnant with your first child I would encourage you to attend a lamaze class. Even though the class being crammed into six short hours, it was very beneficial. Even though I thought I would be able to do good enough on my own without going to the class, I'm glad I went.

Here is a list of what the class went through:
Breathing techniques, massage, the stages of labor, what to expect durring labor, what to expect your baby to look like (they sometimes dont look exactly like all the cute pictures you see), your pain medication options, potential problems with labor, some solutions to your labor problems, and some of their side effects, the cessarian section, and it also included 2 videos of birth, the natural birth, and a cessarian section.

I still remember the day my girlfriend said she was pregnant. The thoughts that were running through my head put my from denial, to sadness, to anger. She was on the pill and I was confused as to how this could be happening. We already had to go through the scare of having a baby the first time around, but she miscarried. This time I knew we were going to have a baby. I'm attempt to post about my daily struggles with a baby and how I surpassed them. Hopefully someone will benefit from my struggles.
